The Memory Card Game is a joint venture between 'Hands Can Talk' and 'Prompt Education'.

For many years Aileen and Tara have been aware of the need of of cards that can be used for games like 'Memory' 'Fish' etc with both the sign language graphic and a colourful picture of what is represented by the sign on it as long as the word being written in 'foundation' font. (Foundation font being the style of font used within the public school system in NSW). By pooling both their talents and ideas they have started on the road to supplying colourful; helpful and as cheap as possible resources. As the year progresses they both hope to have the time to increase the number of resources available.

• This wonderful resource has a triple benefit : The adult working with the student/child learning the signs can use the cards to visually remind themselves of how to do the sign. The child also uses the sign graphic to help them remember how to do the sign.
• The child connects the sign language graphic with the word and comes to recognise the word in written text because of the sign attached to it.

• The child is using his/her visual memory to help them with literacy. While using sign language the child is using both sides of their brain

• 12 sets of sign cards with a colourful picture on each card of the sign being done for easy identification of the sign for the children.

• Direction sheet with additional signs needed to help you play the game.

• Written descriptions for each of the signs used.

• Cards laminated so they can be wiped down and protected against sticky fingers, wear and tear.

• All the cards have rounded corners for safety.
